Festival at Shiver Falls
Delivered before Halloween.
Our first ever Infinity Style Puzzle. No specific border, and an infinite number of solutions.
Infinity puzzles are perfect for fun alone, but the game is really raised for groups or entertaining. Watching as each guest rearranges an already “done” puzzle into an entirely different look is tremendous fun, and the arguments about which configuration is best are almost always good-natured.
The scene depicts a Halloween festival, centered on a town square with a bubbling witch’s cauldron and costumed children wandering around. The buildings and festival events that surround the square can be rearranged to line up across, to circle each other, or to wave in a whimsical configuration. The moon and the Halloween elements in the sky can be brought in tight or sent out on tendrils of their own.
The artwork for this puzzle is made by first creating a 3D world. We even walk around it in a VR headset as part of quality assurance. Then we use a “projection” similar to how maps of the globe can be put to a flat surface. The amazing part is that it still maintains that spherical connection, so that every side connects to every other side. It’s a never-ending side-scrolling, top-scrolling, slant-wise-scrolling adventure.
The cut also requires special attention, since everywhere the artwork needs to wrap around to another side, the cut has to fit as well. That means each of these puzzles needs perfect precision in the alignment of cut and picture. Like all our puzzles, this one is cut from 1/4" wood.
